    Automating agricultural information and documentation services in Tanzania

    Agricultural development is essential for Tanzania's economic growth and national development. This dissertation reviews the development of agricultural documentation and information services, examines factors that pose obstacles in the development process and looks at the role and prospects of information technology, especially microcomputers, in agricultural information management in Tanzania. It is argued that there is need to adopt a coordinated approach to An effective exploitation and better management of these resources is the expected outcome.
