dc.description.abstract | The Long Term Evolution (LTE) is an emerging technology, which is standardized by the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) and evolving to meet the International Mobile Telecommunication Advanced (IMT-Advanced) requirements named as LTE-Advanced. The main goal of LTE is to provide a high data rate, low latency and packet optimized radio access technology supporting flexible bandwidth deployments. The network architecture of LTE has been designed with the goal to support packet-switched traffic with seamless mobility and great quality of service. In this paper, we provide in-depth, the evolution and the major basic features of LTE to LTE-Advanced. Finally, we summarize the LTE-Advanced features in tabular format and show how LTE can fulfil the IMT-Advanced requirements. | en_US |
