A simple random sampling technique was applied to obtain a random sample of 160 respondents. One of the results of
the study was that although rural women generally received
information on f a r m p r a c t i c e s f r o m various sou rces,
the
impact of these sources to women’s access to agricultural
info rmat i on is still
low. The results showed further that
1ocal sources of information in the form of husbands and
neighbours, werethe most preferred sources followed by
